  •   Janet Hills is the recently elected President (Oct 2015) of the National Black Police Association (NBPA) and is also the current Chair of the Metropolitan Black Police Association (MetBPA). She is a serving Police Officer with 25 year’s service. She has held a number of posts on the MetBPA Executive, including First Contact Support Co-ordinator and General Secretary, before becoming the first female Chair of the MetBPA in 2013 and then the first female police officer elected as NBPA President. I also work with the other support networks, the Federation, Unions and various colleagues across the Force who approach me for the ‘BPA view’ on matters of policing relating to support development and progression. I represent the BPA at the Force’s Staff Network Forum, which reports to The Force Equality Board chaired by the Assistant Commissioner.       I was appointed Chair of the City of London BPA in 2009. In my role as Chair I provide work place support to BPA members, sometimes attending formal meetings and hearings.   • Tola has served with Gwent Police for 9 years. Tola has two engineering degrees from De Montford University in Leicester followed by a twelve year career in engineering finishing up in Cardiff. In 2010 Tola spent 101 days in Maryland, USA as Fulbright Police Research Fellow researching domestic abuse. I spent six years at Christchurch in Newport as a youth leader and a church administrator and a brief spell at the Office for National Statistics. Currently studying for a Master’s degree in Police Leadership & Management at Warwick Business School.
