An investigation by the Equality & Human Rights Commission under section 20 of the Equality Act 2006. To consider whether or not systemic unlawful acts had occurred in the treatment of complaints from Metropolitan Police Service police officers and staff of gender, race or sexual orientation discrimination. The investigation examined policies, procedures and practice across the MPS.
This follows the findings of the Central London Employment Tribunal of discrimination against and victimisation of Carol Howard by the MPS in contravention of the Equality Act 2010.
