On Monday 6 November 2017 the Metropolitan Black Police Association celebrated its 23rd anniversary by screening a special documentary that illustrated the history behind their inception – “A Movement in Time”
They also organised a question and answer session with some off their founding fathers –
- Leroy Logan MBE
- George Rhoden
- Bevan Powell MBE
- David Michael
- Rt Hon Jack Straw
June Alison Durant, responsible for the MetBPA Membership Portfolio described the day as “…absolutely fantastic, humbling and inspiring!”
L-R (rear): Paul Ramsey, Keith Smith, Me, Martyn Linton, Mike Samuel (Treasurer), George Rhoden, Bevan Powell, David Michael and Leroy Logan. (front) – 3 Met cadets from Barnet Borough.
We hope to bring this film to a wider national audience in 2018.
